Introduction:
After a Rape, the intervention of a benevolent
wolf and a fratricide; Rome is Founded!
|
 |
 |
History
of Rome Legend has it that Rome was founded by Romulus
on 21 April 753 BC, a date which is still celebrated as
the city's official "birthday".
The twins Romulus
and Remus were the result of a rape by the God of War,
Mars, of a local princess called Rhea Silvia. Romulus
and Remus were born and immediately cast adrift as babies
on the Tiber…
They were washed up in the marshy
area below the Palatine Hill where they were suckled by
a she wolf until found by a shepherd.
As they grew older Romulus grew to be stronger and quarrelled with, then killed, his brother Remus. Rome was then founded and Romulus immediately determined that the community lacked beautiful women so consequently he decided to abduct all the females from the nearby tribe of Sabine….
The Hotel Romulus Rome is a 4 star hotel situated in northern area of Rome on the via Salaria near Villa Ada a huge park with woodland and lakes.
